For my recipe, I bought it at Weis for $5.35/per 1 lb.
I weighed the turkey to determine how much jerky would be left after the dehydration.
Turkey is hard to slice when it is not frozen. It can be hard to cut if the turkey is too soft or too cold, so you can put it in the freezer for a while ( 1 – 2 hours) so that it is easier to slice.

Gathering everything together and preparing the marinade is the next step. The ingredients mentioned above must be combined in the correct proportions.

Now combine the turkey and marinade, and let it sit for six to twenty-four hours. The flavor of the turkey gets greater the longer it is marinated.
Dehydrating Turkey
After marinating the turkey, the paper towel(s) will absorb any extra liquid.
You can use aan oven or an electric smoker, but a dehydrator is preferred because it is easier to use and less expensive. On Amazon, you could purchase one.

The turkey should be dried for 5 to 7 hours at 160 degrees F. It took 6 hours for our hand-cut slices to reach the ideal level of crispiness. If you choose to dry at lower temperatures, be careful to modify your drying time to account for the temperature drop. Plan on 7 hours of drying time at 145 degrees Fahrenheit and 10 hours of drying time at 125 degrees Fahrenheit.
You will get about 1/3 of the weight of the turkey in jerky. Our pound of turkey turned into or 195 grams or 6.9 oz. !
